OM Zuiko 100mm f2.8

Our short trip to Lye Huat Garden in Napoh gave me enough opportunity to play around with my OM Zuiko 100/2.8 lens. I love the look of the soft backgrounds that I get with a telephoto for close-ups. I also really like the ability to get a different background bokeh. The ability to get close shots at the subjects and eliminating the ugly sight of the cage is well appreciated . Since depth of field is so shallow with a telephoto, it is very important to pay attention to exactly where your focus is which is not too difficult with manual lens.

Carelessness

Everyday, our little act of carelessness take the live of many people and countless of damages to the property and the environment. We tend to focus on larger affairs of life but deal thoughtlessly to little things that give cause to these losses. Our mental judgments should me more accurate – which it was intended to give result from thoughtful action. Good judgment eliminates needless fear and worry in developing man to manhood.

The world is a crowded place

There are times when I felt lost in the crowded place and have difficulty in breathing. Taking a walk in open space is a definite cure and therapeutic for me. It’s a good feeling to inhale the fresh air selfishly and not having to share it with anyone.

My little cough got worse tonight and accompanied by sneezing and sore throat. I think the cold has got the better of me now. I really need to go out and scream and breathe and walk and walk and run and run. Sometimes we confuse flu for a cold but there is an important difference between them. A cold may still leave you feeling lousy but influenza is more serious, because of its debilitating symptoms which can last for several weeks, as well as the risk of developing life threatening complications. I hope what I am suffering now is just cold. I hope tomorrow will be a better day for me!

Bad cough

I had bad cough last night. I’m not really sure if it’s because too much coffee, cigarettes or microplasma. It’s getting less intense after the morning shower but the throat still bothers me. I might be gulping a few gallons of water today because that normally helps.

I was listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Simple Man and the lyrics somehow made sense even after more than forty years later. I’ll quote just a part of it here:

The question is - how simple? Everyone enjoys being in the driving seat and always dream of the alchemist’s dream of turning things to gold. My main concern now somehow is my jelly beans jar is getting empty and I would probably get it refilled soon.

Moody Monday – my pov

I woke up this morning feeling good – as good as the blue sky. As the day progressed - my mood changed the way overcast cloud was building above my head. The reason for this might be because I’m not being outdoors that much. My body gets symbiotic dysfunction. I don’t get the motivation of being outside which leaves me unmotivated unless I am out there.

It has nothing to do with Monday as my week starts on Sunday and my weekend is on Friday and Saturday. I need to be soaked by rain badly and the Vitamin D of the morning sun will do me good. I’m not herbivorous insect and I don’t feed on symbiotic bacteria. I just need to be out there with the sky above my head and my bare feet touching the ground.
